Dames Book Scholarship

Each year, The University Dames donates a “Book Scholarship” to a University Scholar chosen in consultation with the Ole Miss Women’s Council for Philanthropy. Because the UM Dames is not a 501c(3) charity for tax purposes, we arrange for the UM Foundation to set up an account specifically for our Book Scholarship, so that Dames’ donations will be tax-deductible.

If you would like your donation to be tax- deductible, write your check as follows:

Payable to: UM Foundation

with memo line: OMWC/University Dames Book Scholarship

The University Dames will be recognized by the Women’s Council as generating the donation, and the UM Foundation will send the donor a tax receipt.

Deliver or send your check to The University Dames at the address above. We will make sure it gets to the Foundation.

Alternatively, you may mail your check directly to the UM Foundation, but you must attach a note specifying that the donation is for the “OMWC/University Dames Book Scholarship”
