Events and Activities

The University Dames hosts four main events a year, while individual interest groups schedule their own activities throughout the year. Check our Facebook Page for the current list of interest groups, as well as details about upcoming events and activities.

Newcomer’s Reception — September

The Dames welcome all women new to the University community at our annual Newcomer’s Reception. This is a chance for female staff or faculty members, or spouses/partners of staff and faculty to meet others, learn about the Oxford community, and join the Dames, if interested.

Salad Supper — October

Existing members bring a salad to share and new members  meet new friends while enjoying a casual supper .

Holiday Luncheon — December

We celebrate the holiday spirit and meet the University scholar who is the recipient of the Dames Book Scholarship at this annual luncheon, generally held at a restaurant on the Square

Spring Luncheon — March or April

A chance to renew friendships and make new acquaintances before many of us disperse for the summer months.
